About PAM
PAM NEWTON has worked with beginning adult dancers for many years teaching ballet, ballroom, contemporary, jazz, and modern dance. Pam’s undergraduate and graduate degrees were both in dance education and included upper level classes in anatomy and kinesiology at Columbia University. Teaching her students how to have fun, stretch, strengthen, and heal are always part of her dance/movement instruction.
STRETCH, STRENGTHEN & FEEL ALIVE
ADULT DANCE CLASS

Join Pam in this spacious and airy studio to dance and stretch.All students must be fully vaccinated. No experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothing or dance wear with Jazz shoes, non-slip Yoga socks, Modern sandals, or bare feet. Parking available on the street or behind CVS.

ANY BODY'S DANCE JOY
Private Dance Lessons for Adults

Come experience the sense of freedom that being in your body can bring. These private classes will be built to meet your individual needs and interests, based on your body type, your preferred dance style and any personal limitations or special fascinations. We will create a warm-up, a series of movements to build flexibility and strength, and dance movements in space that deepen breath and explore steps and patterns.
No experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothing or dance wear with bare feet, ballet shoes, or yoga socks

EASY MODERN DANCE CLASS

This easy modern class is an introduction to beginning barre work, warm up combinations in open space, and the fundamentals of going across the room with steps that move and groove. The space is open and light and invites fun! No experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothing or dance wear with bare feet, ballet shoes, or yoga socks

STRETCH, STRENGTHEN & HEAL CLASS

This class will focus on the needs of the individuals involved each week, Generally, the class will include work on ankles, knees, lower back, the spine and shoulders, and alignment of the parts. Starting with a slow, easy warm-up for breathing deeper and stretching, we will welcome the day in our big open room with soft mats underneath. We will then use the barre, soft rollers, bands, Melt balls, and chairs, when needed, to strengthen and release stuck "stress". The last section of the Workshop will invite participants to move into space with pleasure and rhythm. Wear comfortable clothing or dance wear with bare feet, ballet shoes, or yoga socks
